The Mayor of Sankt Augustin, Dr. Max Leitterstorf, regularly visits local companies and institutions accompanied by the Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Sankt Augustin mbH (WFG). His last visit was hosted by the company Bitsea GmbH.

Dr. Andreas Kotulla, CEO of Bitsea GmbH, together with Maria Kotulla (Human Resources) and Vanessa Josch (Marketing), welcomed Mayor Dr. Max Leitterstorf and the CEO of WFG Edgar Bastian to their premises in the historic moated castle in Sankt Augustin – Birlinghoven. The history of the former castle dates back to the 12th century.

Bitsea GmbH was founded in 2008 and its work stands in contrast to its historical surroundings: the innovative company specializes in auditing software systems. Modern visualizations help to quickly understand even complex systems. Bitsea advises on sustainable compliance and security of open source software. With an international team of around 20 employees, the company ensures the long-term future-proofness of software products by analyzing, evaluating and optimizing software development processes. Bitsea carries out technical due diligence for many DAX companies and investors in preparation for company takeovers and as part of purchasing processes.

“Bitsea’s work makes an important contribution to the IT security of companies and institutions. We are proud that an innovative company like Bitsea is part of our great diversity of companies at the location,” says Mayor Dr. Max Leitterstorf.
